Abortion provider closes Bridgeton Office

There will be a prayer service at the Bridgeton abortion mill, located at 3394 McKelvey Rd. on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m.  Congressman Todd Akin will speak at the prayer service.  Please join with other pro-life Missourians in giving thanks for the end of this abortion business and asking God's mercy for all those who worked at the mill and for the mothers who were victims of this abortion business.

Here is a press release from MO Right to Life:
The prayers of many have been answered with the closing of the Women's Care Gynecology abortion clinic in Bridgeton, Missouri. "This is great news for Missouri.  There is one less location killing unborn children," said Pam Fichter, President of Missouri Right to Life.  The clinic, owned and operated by long-time abortionist Allen Palmer, closed its doors last Monday.  Palmer is retiring, and a spokesperson for the clinic confirmed that no replacement doctor would continue his abortion business.  Only two Planned Parenthood abortion clinics in Missouri perform abortions at this time, one in Kansas City and the other in St. Louis. The Kansas City  clinic does only chemical abortions.  A Planned Parenthood clinic in Columbia has done abortions in the past but has no abortionist at this time. "More and more people, in Missouri and elsewhere, are recognizing that unborn children have a right to life," said Fichter.  "Many people, who previously were conflicted about the abortion issue now recognize that too many abortions are being performed.  A recent poll of New Yorkers found that 64%, including a majority of those who identified themselves as "pro-choice," believe that too many abortions are taking place in New York City.  Those feelings are even more prevalent in other parts of the country," Fichter continued.  See the complete story here.
